A sad discovery shocked and alarmed Córdoba. A dog was found skinned near a soccer field in the Capital.
Although the dog managed to be rescued, she is in serious condition and the community of rescuers asks for collaboration for the operation and treatment of “Esperanza”, the name with which she was baptized.
The terrible event became known on Thursday, when residents of the Los Boulevares neighborhood found the dog in the vicinity of the Juvenile Defenders Club. They were surprised to find her with part of her skin hanging from her and in a very serious condition.
They immediately contacted protectionists and took the animal to different veterinarians. However, according to what they said, several refused to treat her and only gave them an injectable for the pain.
Finally, Antonella, a young rescue worker, offered to take care of her temporarily while Esperanza recovers and can be adopted. Through the Salvemos Patitas networks she is reporting how she continues her recovery.
The circumstances under which the dog ended up skinned are not clear and a case of animal abuse has not been ruled out.
Antonella explained that the animal, in addition to being injured, has a large number of ticks. They must perform reconstructive surgery to save the tissues, since the tissue that she had hanging was already dead.
The whole situation greatly moved and shocked the rescue community.
