San Luis Potosí, SLP.- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosí (FGESLP) highlights that, through the work carried out by litigating agents in the six delegations, as well as the actions implemented by the various security corporations in the entity, Thefts that affect the population’s assets register a lower incidence.


According to the latest report presented by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), from January to May 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, at least 11 types of robberies have shown a decrease in the state of Potosí.


Specifically, the 30 percent reduction in robbery from pedestrians on public roads stands out, which means 153 fewer robberies; a 23 percent decrease in motorcycle theft, That is, a decrease of 148 crimes compared to the previous period; as well as a 20 percent decrease in business robbery, with 128 fewer cases; and a 16 percent reduction in home burglaries, which represents 67 fewer criminal acts.


Likewise, the SESNSP reported a decrease in thefts from private vehicles, auto parts, transporters, and individual and collective public transportation; to banking and livestock institutions, with reductions ranging from 6 to 74 percent.


For this reason, the FGESLP, through its powers, will continue to work in coordination with authorities of the three levels of government to combat impunity in these crimes, seeking justice in the Potosí entity.
