Elderly adult fell into a pipe and had to be rescued in the north of Bucaramanga

A 67-year-old man was rescued by emergency agencies from a pipe in the north of Bucaramanga. He suffered head trauma after falling into the pipeline.

The Bucaramanga Fire Department reported the rescue of an elderly adult who fell into a pipe in the Bosque Bajo neighborhood, in the north of the city.

It happened around 9:11 pm this Saturday, June 22, when the community found the 67-year-old man in the ravine and immediately notified emergency line 119.

“An elderly adult was rescued after being found in a pipe. “Two engines and six firefighters arrived at the scene to extract this person from the drainage,” the relief agency said.

Paramedics in ambulances were also present at the site to support the work and send him by ambulance to the Local Hospital of the North.

According to the medical report, the 67-year-old man had a craniocerebral trauma, but no further details are known about the victim’s current condition, nor when he could be discharged.

“The causes that caused the man to fall into the conduit are unknown,” the firefighters added.
