In a gesture of inclusion and diversity, hundreds of participants demonstrated their talent and passion for the culture and folklore of Huila.

Within the framework of the 63rd version of the Bambuco Festival of San Juan and San Pedro, the Departmental Folkloric Meeting of People with Disabilities was held in the department of Huila.

This historic event allowed for broad community participation, highlighting the diverse cultural and folkloric expressions of the festivities.

Inclusion and celebration of diversity were the fundamental pillars of this meeting, which included the participation of people with disabilities from different locations in the department.

The artistic presentations, dances and music highlighted the talent and connection that exists in the culture, demonstrating how a better world is being built for people with disabilities.

Alexander Dussán Rojas, director of the Gestusilere foundation, highlighted the importance of opening these spaces of inclusion for people with disabilities, not only in the municipality of Neiva, but throughout the department of Huila.

The event included the participation of people with disabilities, artisans, artists on stage, the public and attendees.

The folkloric meeting thus becomes a milestone in the history of the Bambuco Festival in San Juan and San Pedro, and it is hoped that it can be institutionalized in future editions.

The collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, the Government of Huila, the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism, and the Corporation for the Promotion of Culture and Tourism of Huila, Corposanpedro, was fundamental to the success of this inclusive event.
