The new official referred to the “hot chair” which must be reached and also the management challenges in reference to the fight against organized crime.

“When we talk about the fight against organized crime, against drug trafficking, Protecting victims is non-negotiable. They are the great agreements and great goals, that when that is loosened or the focus is not placed there, there is a good part of the policy deficits, or the difficulties in achieving results, which is the great demand of the citizens,” he stated. in dialogue with Continental radio.

Monteoliva recalled that he accompanied Bullrich throughout his Security management in Mauricio Macri’s government, and questioned the change in policy carried out by the Frente de Todos.

“One of the big stones in the shoe, which is not only our problem as a country but something that is replicated in the region, are the cuts, the discontinuitiess, that is crucial for security policies,” he said.

In addition, he referred to the challenges of its management, which in the urban area combines all crimes, along with the relevance of having a territorial anchor to provide the response. “On this issue there are no magic recipesbut the analysis of the territory, because (in the face of) criminal dynamics it is always fundamental,” he added.

Bullrich defined Ventura Barreiro’s replacement on Sunday and it was Monteoliva, who took over as the new Secretary of Security.

The official was introduced to society this Sunday by the minister with a message published on her social networks. “With great courage, he joins in continuing the fight against narcoterrorism, criminal organizations and ensuring the rule of law and order,” Bullrich said.

The Minister of Security defined her new secretary as “the right person for this historic time of paradigm shift in security that we have to face.”

Bullrich said Monteoliva has “proven experience as a security consultant in countries like Honduras and El Salvador, where she worked on the successful ‘Bukele Model.'”

He also highlighted his experience in public service, both in Colombia and Argentina. “She accompanied me in my previous administration as Minister of Security, she will have the enormous responsibility of collaborating in the security of Argentina, taking care of good Argentines in every corner of the country,” she indicated.
