Yellow and orange alerts for strong wind
The agency’s report for areas of Buenos Aires and La Pampa indicates that “winds from the west are expected in the area, with speeds between 30 and 50 km/h and gusts that can reach 70 km/h.”
As for the south, the SMN specified that “the area will be affected by winds from the western sector, with speeds between 45 and 60 km/h and gusts that can reach 100 km/h. In high mountain areas, decreased visibility is expected due to snow blown up by the wind.”
Finally, the agency reported that “the mountain area will be affected by winds from the west with speeds between 60 and 75 km/h, with gusts that can exceed 100 km/h, especially in the highest areas.”
