The Chamber of Deputies recognized the singer-songwriter’s career for his contribution to art and culture. They also highlighted his solidarity work as organizer of the “Morillo Canta Por los Niños” Festival.
Yesterday, during the session in the Chamber of Deputies, a project of recognition for the most outstanding folk singer currently in Salta was approved, Christian Herrera.
The recognition project was presented by the deputies Moses Justinian Balderrama, María del Socorro López and Fabio Enrique López. He also declared the singer-songwriter’s career to be of interest.
Additionally, in the initiative they highlighted Herrera’s positive impact both in the musical and social spheres and for his commitment to the community.
On the one hand, he highlighted his contribution to art and culture; and on the other hand, emphasis was placed on his solidarity work as organizer of the “Morillo Canta Por los Niños” Festival.
During the session in the Chamber of Deputies, child singers were also recognized Isidro Silisquefrom the Chicoana department, and Geronimo Chocobar, from the Molinos department. Both participated, along with Herrera, in different settings in the country.
The decision made underlines the importance of recognizing that, through his art and actions, he contributes to the well-being and development of the community.
During the session, the one known as “El Cantor del Monte” established himself as a prominent figure on the national music scene. Furthermore, he aimed to carry his message of hope and solidarity through his music.
