In the early hours of this Wednesday, a call to 911 alerted the authorities about the finding of a man dead inside an irrigation ditch in the area of the bypass roundabout, in the department of Maipu. The tragic event was discovered around 1:30 in the morning, when the Police went to the scene and confirmed the presence of the body in a riverbed located at the intersection of José Ingenieros and Sarmiento streets, in Luzuriaga.

The Scientific Police experts worked at the scene for at least two hours and, in a preliminary report, they indicated that the man, identified as Pablo Ezequiel Troncoso, 32 years old, could have suffered a road accident that cost him his life. According to the first hypotheses, Troncoso was riding a bicycle towards the northwest and possibly touched the road curb, which caused him to fall into the ditch.

Troncoso’s body had a severe blow to the head, which leads investigators to consider this as the possible cause of his death. deathHowever, the hypothesis of a violent death was preliminarily ruled out, since the victim had all his belongings in his pockets.

Although the main theory points to an accident, it is being evaluated whether another vehicle could have been involved in the incident. To do this, the security cameras in the area are analyzed, with the aim of obtaining more details about the circumstances of the accident.

The investigation will continue and it is expected that forensic analyzes and reviews of security cameras will provide additional information that will allow the case to be closed and the exact causes of Pablo Ezequiel Troncoso’s death determined.
