The Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta, the Gaula Mesan Group in coordination with Prosecutor’s Office 21, managed to the capture of 6 alleged members of the Conquering Self-Defense Forces of the Sierra Nevada.
The capture procedure was recorded through search and seizure proceedings.
The authorities noted that “Among those captured is alias ‘Beder’, in charge of coordinating and executing the collection of extortion, theft, subdivision and sale of properties illegally located in the sectors of Aeromar, Altos de Aeromar, Cristo Rey, Rodadero, La Paz”.
Another of the detainees is alias ‘Lawyer’, who according to the Police, was in charge of laundering the money obtained from the criminal income of the structure, derived from extortion and land dispossession in the city of Santa Marta.
“This activity would be developed through the investment of money in commercial premises and the informal lending of money (drop by drop)”.

These people would have had a 4-year history of stimulating extortion and illegally legalizing property in the city of Santa Marta.
In the procedure, 7 cell phones, 1 gramera, 2 notebooks, 2 property records, 2 DVRs, 2 tablets, 2 computers, 2 32 caliber revolver, 6 cartridges for the same and the sum of $21,154,000 pesos were seized.
