The Secretariat of the Interior of Atlántico participated in the second follow-up table on issues of security and citizen coexistence convened by the Attorney General’s Office. Representatives from other institutions such as the Departmental Police of Atlántico (Deata) and the Police also attended this space. Under the moderation of Tatiana Margarita Oñate, delegate attorney for Territorial Management and Governance During, the progress of each institution and municipal administration in the development of the Comprehensive Security and Citizen Coexistence Plans (PISCC) was presented.

The Government of Atlántico ratified its commitment to the fight against crime and the development of strategies to promote healthy coexistence, among which is the approval by the Assembly of the initiative that allocates $600,000 million over ten years for the improvement of the reaction capacity, physical infrastructure, technology and communications of security and justice agencies in Soledad, Malambo, Galapa, Puerto Colombia and the District of Barranquilla.

“It is noteworthy that work is being done on the draft ordinance that ensures the necessary resources to strengthen the public force in the 18 municipalities of the department. The PISCC of the Government is being built and will include all the commitments that we acquired in the first monitoring table held on January 25,” stated the departmental Secretary of the Interior, José Antonio Luque.
