Pichilemu, June 26, 2024.-. In an action on the ground of the Regulation Unit, the Tourism Directorate has delivered R Stamps in Pichilemu. This recognition, granted to the tourist offer registered in Sernatur, serves as an important element of differentiation for local tourism entrepreneurs.
Regarding the action on the ground, the regional director of Sernatur, Carlos Escobar, highlighted the importance of formality: “We are very pleased with this delivery that we made in one of the most important tourist destinations in the region, especially in this time of Winter Break. The destination in which we are located is one of the most visited by national and foreign tourists, both for getaways and vacations. With the delivery of this seal, we send a clear signal about the importance of formality in tourist services, being an effective way to combat informality and highlight those who comply with current regulations.”
The delivery of the distinctive R Stamps allows tourism service providers to stand out from the informal offer, in addition to accessing other benefits such as free access to the tourist services search engine, an essential tool for connecting with development organizations. Furthermore, having this badge is an essential requirement to participate in various programs, fairs, campaigns, dissemination actions and other promotional initiatives carried out by Sernatur.

This work in the territory reflects the commitment of the Tourism Directorate to formalization, especially considering that, according to the projections for the winter season in Chile, prepared by the Undersecretariat of Tourism and Sernatur and which include trips with overnight stays that are would be made between Saturday, June 1 and Wednesday, July 31, 2024 – more than 9 million trips (9,478,589) will be made during said season, which represents an increase of 10.2% compared to the same season in 2023 and 36.2% more than in 2019, and where the three main regions that will receive the most tourists, according to these figures, would be Valparaíso (18.9%), Metropolitana (16.9%) and O’Higgins (8, 7%)-.
