An outstanding performance fulfilled the Caesarense delegation of Power Lifting who went to Junior, subjunior, classic and equipped National Championship developed in the city of Cúcutacapital of Norte de Santander, a competition in which they managed to win ten medals.

The gold medals in the female branch were obtained by the athletes Eylin Fuentes, in the category up to 52 kilograms, and Claris Castillejos, in the category up to 43 kilograms. Meanwhile, the men bathed in gold with Andrés Felipe Arguelles, junior up to 120 kg; Samuel Castillejos, junior up to 66 kg; Hassan Matiz, junior up to 93 kg; Juan Torres, junior up to 105 kg; Say Arwawin Torres, junior up to 66 kg; Duamaku Enrique Marquez, junior up to 74 kg.

The athletes Carolina Atencia, in the junior category up to 57 kilograms and Juan Sebastian Guillen, subjunior up to 74 kilograms, They achieved the silver medals that added to the awards of the Caesarense delegation; Likewise, in the absolute mode, Claris Castillejos was the best subjunior, Dumaku Enrique Marquez took first place in the subjunior category masculine and Samuel Castillejos was the best junior athlete in the equipped modality.

“We highlight the participation of our Cesarense athletes in the National Championship held in Cúcuta where we obtained important results, especially in the absolute categories. To highlight the work that has been carried out in municipalities such as Curumaní, Becerril, Manaure and Pueblo Bello, which has been represented by athletes from the Arhuaco community,” mentioned Alberto Díaz, president of the Cesar Power Lifting League.

The Caesarense delegation was made up of 13 athletes which measured forces against competitors from departments such as Santander, Valle del Cauca, Bolívar, Córdoba, Atlántico, La Guajira, Sucre, Cundinamarca, Bogotá, Cesar and the local Norte de Santander.
