La Tecnológica closes Engineering Month with experts in video games, AI and tech companies

This Friday, June 28, the extension cycle of the National Technological University-Tucumán Regional Faculty ends. This 2024 edition was extra long due to the 70th anniversary of the institution.

June ends and, with it, the Engineering Month organized by the National Technological University (UTN), which in 2024 was “enlarged” by the celebration of the 70 years of that house of higher education. The closing of the cycle is scheduled for Friday, June 28, always at the headquarters of the Tucumán Regional Faculty. The organization planned a whole day of activities from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The talks are free and open to the public: students, professionals and interested parties in general can take advantage of these opportunities.

Attendees will enjoy presentations by experts in video games, applications with generative artificial intelligence (AI), and interactions with representatives of Argentine technology companies. Except for the talk related to AI, which will be in the Concepción annex, the rest of the agenda will take place at the headquarters at 1,050 Rivadavia Street (San Miguel de Tucumán). The schedule detailed below was coordinated by the various secretariats and directorates of the UTN together with academics and graduates of the institution.

The agenda for June 28

The big day will begin with a talk on “Video game development in Tucumán and the local developer community” by Barros Saga, co-founder of the first video game cooperative in the region. It will last two hours, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and will take place in Sum 1 of the capital headquarters.

From 5 to 6 p.m., in the annex of the town of Concepción, there will be a dissertation on “Artificial intelligence: applications with generative AI” with the engineer Mario Figueroa Cruz.

At Sum 1 in the capital, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., the engineer Lucas Abdala will speak about “The ICT industry and opportunities in the era of constant transformation.” At the same time, but in Sum 3, the engineer Federico Diaz will talk about the “Plan and design of the highway bridge.”

To close the day and the cycle there will be two talks from 8 to 9 p.m. “INVAP: technology for the world” by the engineer Lucas Joaquin Ruiz in the Aula Magna of the faculty. And “Contributions for the evaluation of bridges in Argentina” with the master and engineer Jose Saracho in Sum 3.
