A new act of violence occurred in Huila. On this occasion, armed men went out onto the road and intercepted a cargo vehicle, They forced the driver to get out of the truck and then set it on fire.
The events took place in the area known as the floodgates of the Betania dam, on the road that connects the municipality of Hobo with the town of Yaguará. Firefighters responded to the scene to put out the flames that were consuming the truck.
The Police Commander in Huila, Colonel Carlos Eduardo Téllez, said that specialized units of the Sijín, with the support of the Army, They are in the area carrying out investigations to clarify the causes and find the location of those responsible.
“Around 3:50 in the morning, we learned of a burned vehicle, between the municipalities of Hobo and Yaguará, in a sector of the Betania dam. In this way, knowing the facts, an investigative work begins in order to identify the causes of the events, the information we have is that, apparently, two men go out on the road, They obstruct the passage of the vehicle and incinerate it, we are with the judicial police, the Gaula carrying out the investigations,” indicated the Police officer.
The incinerated car, according to preliminary versions, belonged to a local fishing company.
