Mauricio Rauik is a bodybuilder from Santa Fe who is currently going through a complicated situation. Days ago he was arrested and accused of having vandalized (theft and damage) several vehicles that were in the parking lot of the Port of Santa Fe. After regaining his freedom, Rauik denies the charges and assures that on the day of the incident he was somewhere else, and that The patents for his private car were cloned.
The named man’s nightmare began on Saturday the 8th of this year at 2:00 p.m. That day a white Ford Focus, domain AB 262 HR, with two occupants on board, entered the Port parking lot where minutes later several vehicles were vandalized. Their doors and windows were broken, and perfume and a pair of glasses were stolen.
The images captured by the surveillance cameras of the place (where Rauik is supposedly seen) were the evidence on which the prosecution relied to order the arrest of the athlete and the seizure of the car.

“I was imprisoned from Saturday until Tuesday, when I was granted conditional release. According to the prosecution, I am still guilty and I still have to prove my innocence,” Rauik said in dialogue with El Litoral.
The person involved claims out loud that he was the victim of a mix-up. “I have all the evidence that that day I was somewhere else and my mother had my car, who was in a club on Freyre Avenue. I was watching free soccer at El Coliseo, next to the Ateneo club.”
“This is all the result of a regrettable confusion. It is not my car that is seen in the images. The license plate of my car was duplicated, it was “cloned.” And it is not me who is driving either. In the images you can see that the driver has his left arm with scattered tattoos. My left arm is completely tattooed.”
Another difference, according to Rauik, is his left arm, which is completely tattooed. Security footage shows a man whose arm has partial tattoos.
“At the same time, there are clear differences in the car involved. My Ford Focus is the S version, 2017 model. The other Focus that appears is the Titanium version, it has a different grille and the optics are different.”
Finally, Rauik maintained that “this was a case that they set up for me, I don’t know for what reason. There is not a single piece of evidence to prove that I am the one driving the car. Nor can I be seen breaking any car. Besides, how am I going to do such a crazy thing?” place where I go every day to train.
“What I’m going through is a true nightmare. Anyway, I’m calm because everything is in the hands of my lawyer. And I know that sooner or later my innocence will be proven,” he concluded.
