The provincial Executive met again with the union representatives of the United Union of Education Workers (SUTE) and presented improvements regarding concerns presented by the union. The parties went to intermission for Monday, July 1.
This Thursday the 27th, the joint members of the provincial government and the union representatives of the SUTE, which brings together the education workers of Mendoza, met.
The salary proposal offered by the Government of Mendoza for the third quarter of the year, which is added to what was already received during June 2024, consists of an increase of 5% for each of the months of July, August and September.
The director of Salary Policy of the Government of Mendoza, Mariana Lima, expressed: “Today we bring a new proposal to SUTE for a guaranteed initial teacher salary for the month of July of 425,000 pesos. Likewise, for those teachers with more than 29 years of seniority and covered by the guarantee clause, it will be remunerated. We also continue working on aspects related to the guards. We will meet again on Monday, July 1,” Lima added.
It should be remembered that, in the last negotiation, the provincial government offered two proposals and 16 union sectors accepted the salary offer. Four of them subscribed to alternative 1, that is, 10% in April, 10% in May and 10% in June, taking the January 2024 base as a reference, along with non-remunerative and non-rewardable sums of $70,000 in April, $50,000 in May and $30,000 in June, for agents who in March have not reached a gross salary of two and a half times the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary. On the other hand, for agents who exceed that salary threshold, the non-remunerative and non-bonus sums reach $35,000 in April, $25,000 in May and $11,000 in June.
The second alternative offered by the Government was accepted by 12 sectors and contemplates 11% in April, 11% in May and 11% in June, taking the January 2024 base as a reference.
