Nueva Gerona, 27 Jun (ACN) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez He is today on a working visit to Isla de la Juventud.
The president began his tour of the special municipality at the “Jesús Montané Oropresa” University, where he exchanged with a group of farmers producing organic potatoes, notable in the country for their high productive yields.
The agenda included a stop at the farm of Daniel García Hecheverría, producer of various crops and cattle who has usufruct of five caballerías in operation, previously dedicated to citrus plantations.
Accompanied by the highest authorities of the territory, Díaz-Canel spoke with workers from the Aquaculture-based business unit, belonging to the Fishing company. At the time of transmitting this information, the visit is summarized at the Party headquarters.
