The 2nd “Federal Beekeeping Meeting” was held in Río Negro, with producers from 19 provinces

For two days, the Patagonian city of Cipoletti, in Black riverwas the place in which representatives of the beekeeping chain from 19 provinces came to immerse yourself in the current and future of the sector.

During Tuesday 25th in the afternoon and Wednesday 26th the 2nd was held Federal Beekeeping Meeting at the Cipolletti Cultural Centerwhich brought together more than 600 provincial beekeeping representatives, researchers and professionals from the sector

Technical panels and business rounds were some of the moments for what in the province stood out as a “historic event” for Rio NegroAt least 120 producers from Río Negro attended the event.

The meeting was organized in coordination by the CFI (Federal Investment Council) and the provincial government through the Ministry of Economic and Productive Development.

“For the CFI, beekeeping is a very important vector of sustainable development, because it is a federal activity that generates local development,It protects the environment and allows us to generate products with enormous added value”highlighted CFI Project Director Teresa Oyhamburu.

And he added that “the first meeting was in Chaco and this edition was held in Río Negro, a very interesting province to work on the particularities of the sector because bets on innovation, on the diversification of its diversified production matrix and on sustainability.”

On Tuesday, the Federal Beekeeping Council session was held for more than four hours. There, the business round that called for Nine buyers from different sectors and sellers from all over the country with enormous success.

In this way, the next objective is to “advance in the design of a support plan for Beekeeping at the federal level”.

“And according to the needs of each province, that focuses on technological and organizational innovationand in the development of new products and markets for bee production in the Argentine provinces,” they stated.

For his part, the Minister of Economic and Productive Development Carlos Banacloy stated at the closing of the meeting: “We must once again feel pride in producingto value producers and incorporate new generations.”

“And in that sense Beekeeping is a sector that has enormous opportunities, not only for honey productionwhich is a tiny part of the chain, but also for all the other sub-products, the added value, the incorporation of new markets, the promotion of internal consumption and the incorporation of technology,” he concluded.
