The mayor of the city of La Banda, Eng. Roger Elias Nedianiwas present at the third edition of the Smart City, an event that became an important meeting point for government authorities and specialists in new technology who seek to promote the concept of “Smart Cities.”

During his participation in the event, the mayor was accompanied by the deputy mayor Gabriel Santillán; the provincial deputy Mariana Morales; the councilor Miguel Montenegro; and other officials of the municipal cabinet.

On this occasion, Nediani said: “It is an honor to participate in the third edition of Smart City here in Santiago del Estero, where attendance has grown significantly, not only with national officials and mayors from various cities, but also with students from different schools in the province.”.

“We are here to see the innovative proposals and to talk with other mayors about our experiences in city management”he added.

During the event, the mayor highlighted La Banda’s progress in the implementation of technologies that seek to improve the quality of life of citizens. “We have begun a process of transformation towards a smart city. This includes the implementation of mobile applications, the electronic records system (GEDO), and the development of Alerta La Banda, which includes a panic button for emergencies.”he mentioned.

Nediani also highlighted the importance of inclusive technology, which facilitates the integration of people with disabilities into society. “Technology must be accessible to all, allowing for a more integrated society”he claimed.

The city of La Banda is advancing in various technological initiatives. “We are working and continue to innovate to have a more efficient and modern city”explained the Mayor. “This process of learning and adaptation is continuous, especially after the technological disruption that we have experienced since the pandemic”.

The Smart City event not only serves as a platform to explore new technologies, but also for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between different municipalities. “Our presence here, along with our entire team, reflects our commitment and interest in continuing to learn and incorporate technologies that benefit our community.”Nediani concluded.
