In order to continue massifying ‘sport science’, the Cesar Chess League opened its schedule of activities in which it contemplates the holding of events such as Chess in the Park and the holding of the Cesar Cup, one of the most relevant tournaments in the catalog of the sports entity.

Chess activities began at the Unicentro Shopping Center with the Simultaneous Chess modality, in which masters face different players playing eight to ten games at the same time.

Sandra Suárez, president of the Cesar Chess League, He explained that this is a modality that helps participants learn more taking into account that at the end of the games they are explained so that the players understand what their shortcomings and strengths have been.

“This Simultaneous is carried out as the first activity of the Cesar Chess League, the idea is to start our schedule of activities with the objective of making ourselves known in the Caribbean region and nationally by showing the talent of our players,” explained the leader.

“We have been targeting youth, children because we know the talent that exists in the department. “We are working hand in hand with the Serdeportes seedbeds to bring children and young people greater learning about chess,” added the official.

In the Simultaneous Chess activity Masters Jorge Luis Castañeda, number one Cesar board and FIDE Master since 2017, participated; in addition to the teacher candidates Nuremberg Vásquez and Yeiner Andrade.

It should be noted that in the activity there were 30 boards in which 5 were adult participants and the The remaining 25 were made up of children and young people.

“The idea is to continue holding at least one chess tournament every month; in July we have planned to hold an event in which different categories participate. We want to give activity to the League and to all these kids,” said Suárez.

Although six months of the current year have passed, the Caesar’s Chess League has not yet signed an agreement with the Government and is therefore requesting support from various public and private companies with the aim of achieving sustainability for the launch of its next sporting events.
