This past Wednesday, June 26, a couple residing in Rawson reported the robbery they suffered at their home by criminals who posed as San Juan police officers.

The couple was inside the house, lying in a room and heard strange noises, when they went out to the dining room to check what was happening and why they were banging so hard on the door. At that moment they heard someone say “we are police officers looking for drugs.” The subjects were wearing combat clothing, vests, a revolver-type firearm and even batons similar to those used by the police force, according to the complaint.

Luis Alberto Gómez, 60 years old, residing in the Capitán Lazo neighborhood, lives in the back of the house and after hearing the loud bangs he went out to the front of the house and was intercepted by one of the subjects, who hit him in the head and stole a Motorola G42 cell phone as well as a Samsung A04, a wallet with documentation and money, without being able to specify the amount. After that incident they fled in a Kangoo type utility vehicle.

After Mr. Gómez was injured, an ambulance was called in charge of Dr. Jorge Sánchez, who performed a suture on the victim’s head.

The UFI intervened in crimes against property with Dr. Martín Eder, who started a file for the crime of aggravated robbery and ordered that the complaint be formalized, a survey of public and private cameras be made, and a technical report be submitted with photographs to certify the damage.
