From the municipality of Belén, Nariño, they call on the authorities to demand justice for the death of two young people.

The community of Belén, Nariño, is in mourning after the brutal murder of two young people on June 24. The events occurred in the municipality of Belen and its surroundings, where, according to information shared by the community, these crimes would be part of a ‘cleaning‘ exercised by guerrilla groups operating in the area.
One of the murdered young people, Juan Carlos Ortega Gallardo, was a bus driver affiliated with Transandona and well known in the municipality.
He was allegedly taken from his home by several heavily armed men, who allegedly belong to the guerrilla that has a presence in the surroundings of Belén.
Along with him, his two cousins were taken, Robin Edilson Pasaje Montero and Diego Pasajes. The bodies of Juan Carlos and Robin were found with multiple bullet wounds, while Diego remains missing.
«One of those killed was a friend and well known to almost the entire municipality. We demand that Governor Luis Alfonso Escobar and the mayor of Belén help us find our friend Diego.“, they ask.
The Municipal Administration of Belén has expressed its rejection of violence, expressing solidarity with the community in general and, in particular, with the families of the victims of this atrocious crime.
«We repudiate any act of criminal violence that occurs and affects our beautiful municipality of Belén, Nariño, its towns and villages. We demand JUSTICE for the murder of these two young people who today mourn their families, children and our Belenita community. We hope this does not go unpunished», said Mayor Jaír Zambrano.
In memory of Juan Carlos Ortega Gallardo and Robin Edilson Pasaje Montero, they urgently call on Governor Luis Alfonso Escobar and the mayor of Belén to take immediate actions that lead to the capture of those responsible and the location of Diego Pasajes.
