More than 40 representatives of the Formal Justice Directorate of the Ministry of Justice and Law and territorial authorities met in La Guajira to receive technical assistance and strengthen their knowledge of care routes, as well as to update themselves on Law 2126 of 2021.
The strengthening of these officials occurs within the framework of Law 2126, which seeks to prevent, protect, restore, repair and guarantee the rights of those who are at risk, are or have been victims of gender-based violence in the family context, and victims of other violence in it.
“If we talk about rebuilding the social fabric, you play a fundamental role. The police station is a pillar of that construction; If things are bad in the family, we are going to have problems with our minors. Mental health, lack of schooling, teenage pregnancy, minor workers at tolls in certain municipalities, etc. Therefore, we invite you to be exemplary and effective by also bringing these processes to municipal security plans, and we support these technical assistance and related processes because we know that it is an effort by everyone.“, said the departmental government secretary Misael Velasquez.
