The official commented that the commitment is to continue with that task and give it a new imprint. “The graduate already has instructions about working hard on training, on pillars such as primary care, infection control, training of nursing human resources in emergencies, guards and ambulances, and control of chronic non-communicable diseases,” he explained, while emphasizing that we must work with the greatest technical capacity and with the humanity that characterizes the System’s nurses.
For his part, Santillán indicated that this is a new challenge where the Ministry of Health gave him the opportunity to serve the community from this new position: “I am in charge of more than 6,000 nurses in the province, so it is a great job. In addition, I want to emphasize that these professionals deserve the respect of the entire community, since they demonstrated their performance with Covid-19 and dengue.”
The professional seeks to be able to train staff, evaluate them and give them better tools so that their work provides a better quality of care to the community. “We in health know that all work is done as a team, no one does anything alone. That is why we start from that perspective,” he concluded.
