Traditional space for conversation is available through the different platforms of the Catholic University of the North.

With the theme “Lama Glama ¡Soy la Llama!”, which addresses the impact and content of the popular science book on the life of camelids in the Atacama Desert, the first chapter of the third season of “Encuentros UCN” was broadcast. , series of conversation programs from the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN).

The guests included the academic from the Institute of Archaeological Research and Museum (IIAM), Dr. Lautaro Núñez Atencio, National History Award 2002 and Doctor Honoris Causa of the UCN, and the coordinator of Scientific Extension of the IIAM-UCN and director of the Project “Lama Glama I am the Llama!”, Romina Carpanetti.

In a pleasant dialogue, led by the journalist and director of Communications at UCN, Carolina Cortés, the different aspects related to the popular science book were discussed. It tells, in a playful and entertaining way, the life of the camelids that inhabit and travel through the territories of Northern Chile. Likewise, the transdisciplinary approach of the work, its intercultural perspective and its impact and good reception by children and adolescents were highlighted.

The 2024 version of the “UCN Meetings” conversation and analysis space will continue in future editions to address various current and interesting topics for the community, with an emphasis on the areas of research, culture, academia and current affairs.
