Unfortunately, real life is very different and such is the case with a man who died after falling from a 604-meter-high cliff in Norwaywhich was the scene of a memorable sequence in Mission Impossible: Repercussion, released in 2018.

Preikestolen, also known as Pulpit Rock, is a cliff located in southwestern Norway. It is one of Norway’s most famous mountain routes and receives more than 300,000 visitors a year, according to the country’s official tourism website. Unfortunately that was just what happened in reality this past Monday, when a 40-year-old man fell from the same place. Nina Thommesen, a lawyer for the Norwegian police, confirmed the news. The man was found along with his cell phone and an official identification.

According to two witnesses who witnessed the event, it was all an accident, since the man slipped while walking. The police are still investigating the case. although there is no suspicion that criminal activity has existed.
