Alien: Romulusthe bloody, terrifying and new movie in the saga Alien, will hit theaters on August 16, promising a very special plot that will mix classic elements of the license. Considered one of the best horror and science fiction sagas in history, the expectations placed on Fede Alvarez, Uruguayan director in charge of the film, are high. The French magazine Cinema Teaser has published the cover of its new issue, showing off a new image of Alien Romulus exclusively in which you can see the protagonist Cailee Spaeny -whose character will be inspired by Ripley- looking face to face with the fearsome xenomorph. Does it remind you of anything? Beyond the mythical sequence of Alien 3the composition is similar to other very representative scenes of the saga, such as that of David and the creature Alien: Covenantas we saw in promotional images from the past.

The saga of Alienknown for its ability to generate terror and suspense, is ready to add a new installment to its legacy that, according to the trailers and the starting point of the plot, may represent a before and after.

History tells us how A group of young colonists and space explorers end up stumbling upon an abandoned Weyland-Yutani facility in which they have been carried experiments with the xenomorph, all with a darker atmosphere and a renewed focus on horror. Precisely, one of the main attractions of Alien Romulus is the reintroduction of the xenomorph in its most terrifying form, with a new appearance, larger, more brutal and, ultimately, dangerous.

The creature debuts a new design: scarier, bigger and more beastly

Apparently, both Fede Álvarez and the special effects creators – focused on the practical and coming from Aliens: The Return– have placed great emphasis on creating a creature that instills pure fear in the audience, something that is very necessary considering the overexploitation of the creature. We’ll see how everything turns out. Alien: Romuluswhich will connect with Prometheus and other installments of the saga thanks to its plot – which unites the old and the new – will be released in theaters on August 16.
