The filming of the movie Superman (2025) is giving very interesting clues about everything they are preparing and we can already see David Corenswet in the suit of the great DC Comics superhero.
Attention SPOILERS. Some new photos from the set of the movie superman directed by James Gunn have been leaked, and they bring with them important revelations about the plot. The images show our new hero, played by David Corenswetnext to Maria Gabrielle de Faria as Engineer / Angela Spica. Also appears Frank Grillo in the role of Rick Flag Sr. and, most interestingly, a burly figure in dark armor that many believe to be Ultramanan evil clone of Superman.
Earlier this year, rumors emerged suggesting that Superman would face a clone of himself created by Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) using the hero’s DNA. Although James Gunn denied this rumor at the time, these images seem to indicate otherwise.
It’s not the first time.
The idea of Superman facing a doppelgänger is not new. In fact, in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Doomsday was reimagined as a monstrous clone of the Man of Steel. However, fans are confident that Gunn will put an original spin on this idea. There has been speculation about Bizarro, but it may be a fusion of different villains, since James Gunn has already done this with a Marvel character in his Guardians of the Galaxy installments.
So it is clear that the Superman movie will show us the protagonist in his first days as the great hero. For this reason, humanity does not completely trust him, so they will send people with powers to stop him and it seems that they will succeed, perhaps because he does not want to continue fighting so as not to harm others. But it is clear that if a new threat of cosmic origin appears, Superman will become the people’s hope. Curiously, something similar to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013). On that occasion, the attack on planet Earth was by General Zod, while now, it is speculated that it could be Mongul.
