The madness for Megadeth in Buenos Aires began to be unleashed in 2024 with the first of the band’s three concerts at the Movistar Arenatour shows “Crush the World”which will arrive in Spain inside the Resurrection Fest posterof which one by one were counted full in a matter of minutes (15,000 attendees per night), but this madness has also moved to the streets of the city, with Mustaine and theirs performing a short acoustic set at the doors of their hotel.
Yesterday, Tuesday April 16, in which the third concert of this visit of the thrasher band to the Argentine capital was scheduled, Dave Mustaine, James LoMenzo, Dirk Verbeuren and the brand new guitarist, Teemu Mäntysaaridelighted a large number of followers gathered at the doors of the Madero Hotel by performing three songs acoustically: “Trust”, “Angry Again” and “Symphony Of Destruction”.
The crude performance, with the drummer simply hitting his legs to beat the rhythm and without any microphone, was supported by everyone gathered there, whose voices practically engulfed the musicians. After this acoustic trio, a great ovation, like the one they received, said goodbye to the band, with Mustaine showing his affection for those present, as we see in the videos that accompany these lines.
This has not been the first time that Mustaine’s band has had this type of gesture with their followers, since in 2016 the band offered a similar set at the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel from Buenos Aires, and in 2018 it was Mustaine alone who surprised him by playing for his followers at the Mendoza hotel where he stayed.
Megadeth will download their thrash metal again in our country this summer, with the Resurrection Fest poster wearing the logo of those of Dave Mustaine in its upper area, next to Bruce Dickinson, Corey Taylor, Alice Cooper, Bring Me The Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Babymetal or Machine Head.
