In a relaxed moment during the broadcast of the program Personal brand, the communicator made reference to the song I set out to lose you of the famous Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández. For the sports journalist, this song is the best heartbreak lyric he has ever heard. “Look what he says, ‘Why didn’t I kiss your soul when I still could? Why didn’t I embrace your life when I had it?’” he intoned.

And as he performed it, he highlighted one verse in particular: “Then I discovered that you already looked differently”. And then, the sports commentator commented: “When a woman or a man looks at you differently it means that everything is over, there is nothing more to do”, which seemed like a moment of sincerity with his followers. And the phrase resonated strongly, and has given rise to speculation about whether this reflection was a confession indirectly dedicated to his ex-partner Ivette.
In fact, even his partner on the program, Nicolás Peric, asked him: “And it didn’t occur to you to listen to it before?”, making direct reference to the breakup with Ivette. However, Fernando Solabarrieta chose to maintain discretion. “Why do you think I am living this moment? I talk about the song because it is beautiful and that’s it.”, he concluded.
