“We requested support from CONADE for a camp in Turkey, where we did double or triple session training, carrying out simulations and team confrontations, since we had the opportunity to compete with three other countries. The boys are receiving psychological, technical and biomechanical preparation; all the possible knowledge so that they arrive in the best way physically and mentally.

“We have three goalkeepers of very good quality, and we have a good training average, which puts us on equal terms with other opponents, it will be very competitive and with a strong level. We are going to give ourselves heart and soul, we will do everything possible. The boys are well focused and will try to compete in the best way in search of the Olympic spot,” shared Alejandro Vélez, national coach.

Saturday will be the key day for the national arrows, since in a single day the three teams that will go to Paris 2024 will be defined, which will be the ones that get on the podium. If they do not achieve their goal in this competition, the last way to have an Olympic performance will be the world ranking (Mexico, current number 11), which will give the last two tickets to the countries that have not qualified during the entire process.
