Jack Draper’s emergence in the Top 5 of the PIF ATP Rankings has been one of the most interesting stories of the season. After starting the year as No. 15 of the world, the 23 -year -old left -hander has consolidated his status as one of the main candidates of ATP Tour and has also inspired his British colleagues.
Among those who have taken note of their steps are the stars of the Hologic WTA Tour, Emma Raducanu, champion of the US Open 2021, and the number one racket of the United Kingdom in the ranking, Katie Boulter. Both Raducanu and Boulter praised Draper, who raised the Indian Wells trophy and reached another 1000 Masters final in Madrid.
“It’s amazing to see what he has achieved and everything he has done,” Raducanu told Sky Sports. “I know he is a great tennis player and has such great stature that he can master anyone’s tennis. It’s really great to see him dominate how he has done.”

Draper, Boulter and Raducanu are in Rome these two weeks for the internal Bnl d’Italia. Boulter joked saying that he plans to talk to Draper apart.
“The first thing I will do when I see it is to ask how you play on beaten land,” said Boulter between laughs. “The tennis that has been showing lately has been impressive. The mere fact of seeing it so consolidated – we speak to the final of two masters in a month – it is already impressive, and even more to have its first title [de la categoría]”.
On Monday, Draper beat 99 times Circuit Champion, Novak Djokovic, to reach the number 5 of the world, his best personal brand. And to think that only a few months ago was competing as number 18 of the world in the Australian Open.
At its best, Draper holds a 19-5 season record, according to the Infosys victories/losses index.
“More than anything, I think people help to believe,” Boulter added. “When you see that the people around you do so well, you wonder why you can’t be you too. I think that’s the most important thing. Obviously, I’m super happy for him.”
