After closing agreements with FIFA, the Spanish soccer league, Major League Rugby in the United States, and with the Los Angeles Clippers, one of the NBA teams, the Argentine Globant has now advanced into a new sport and partnered with Formula 1 motorsport. The agreement aims to “improve F1’s digital experiences.”

The first two projects of this collaboration will focus on improving the current Pit Wall system, a key source of information for racing teams, and in enriching the fan experience with the mobile application used in each race, which today has 6 million users.

Globant, which employs more than 29,000 people and has a presence in 33 countries, will become official partner in an agreement until 2026.

Martin Migoyaco-founder and CEO of Globant, said that Formula 1 is “the most technologically advanced sport in the world” and celebrated the possibility of accompanying the digital transformation process and improving the experience offering for fans.

The businessman, who along with businessmen such as Marcos Galperin and Eduardo Elsztain is part of the Llao Llao Forum that met two weeks ago in Bariloche and received Javier Milei, made the presentation of the new alliance days before the Grand Prix of Miami this weekend. There Globant will already be present as an official partner.

As recalled by the Motor1 site, Globant had already landed in motorsports last year as a sponsor of the sports career of the Argentine driver Franco Colapinto, who this year races in Formula 2 and is working to earn a place in Formula 1.

Globant is one of the Argentine “unicorns”, fast-growing companies that reach a market value of US$1 billion. What’s more, the New York-listed firm currently has a market capitalization of US$7.7 billion.
