This Friday, May 3, it was known through an official statement that Colombian Professional Soccer will be broadcast free for the first time on RTVC, the national public channel; however, it will be in radio format.

It is important to clarify that Win Sports and Win Sports+ continue with the exclusivity of presenting the matches on televisionsince they are the sole owners of the rights to the product until 2026, the year in which they would have to renew said power with Dimayor.

But, on the other hand, this news is positive for those who still do not have some of the two Win channels, opening the opportunity for many more people to listen to local League matcheswhere the favorite team of each of the Colombians plays.

For this reason, thanks to the alliance of the Public Media System, which has a direct relationship with the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Government of Colombia, and Dimayor, All matches will be broadcast on RTVC radio signals.

“It is the opportunity for more Colombians, even those who are in the most remote parts of the country, to enjoy the broadcast and passion offered by the first division championship of Colombian professional soccer”said the official RTVC statement.

And this is a great alternative for people or fans who are in places in Colombia where the TV signal does not reach or do not have a way to watch television.

So through the 68 AM and FM frequencies that the Public Media System has through the National Radio of Colombiayou can listen to all the Colombian soccer matches, thus having greater diffusion.

This also happened because Dimayor is the sole owner of the FPC radio rightsso the alliance could be finalized.

When do RTVC radio broadcasts begin?

The first public broadcast in history will be this Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 pm with the game Junior de Barranquilla vs. Millionairesvalid for group A of the BetPlay League semi-final home runs.

For group B, the match that will be broadcast on the radio signals will be on Sunday, May 5 from 5:00 pm, with the duel being Independiente Santa Fe vs. Sports Tolima.

“The sports team will be made up of the narrator Luis Alfredo Hernández and the commentator Laura Ruiz, along with the journalist and commentator Carlos Orduz, who will have the support from the fields of the journalists from Radio Nacional de Colombia who are part of the stations in the regions where the matches will be played,” they confirmed from the public channel.
