Universidad de Chile will visit Unión La Calera this Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicolás Chahuán Nazar in a match that became more than important for the blues considering the triumphs of Universidad Católica and Colo Colo, which came dangerously close in the Positions table.
Gustavo Álvarez has a couple of problems in forming his stellar lineup, taking into account, above all, two significant losses that the blue team has due to the accumulation of yellow cards: Matías Zaldivia and Marcelo Morales.
Furthermore, the natural replacement for the left back, José Castro, has not been able to recover from a sprain, so he will improvise a midfielder to play on that wing: Matías Tucu Sepúlveda himself.
The coach will also try a new center back on the right, after having used Emmanuel Ojeda, Matías Zaldivia, David Retamal and Renato Cordero in that position.
Álvarez gave the confidence to play in that position of the defense to midfielder Israel Poblete, who has been coming off a two-game suspension after being sent off against Palestino.
Despite the losses and the problems in forming the 11, the current Chilean soccer champion coach will not change his tactical system, beyond the multiple improvisations that he will push against the cement workers.
The 11th of the U will be with Gabriel Castellón; Israel Poblete, Franco Calderón, Ignacio Tapia; Fabián Hormazábal, Marcelo Díaz, Maximiliano Guerrero, Matías Sepúlveda; Cristian Palacios, Luciano Pons and Leandro Fernández.
