LOS ANGELES — Michael Lorenzen pitched seven quality innings, rookie Wyatt Langford had two RBI singles and the Texas Rangers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 on Thursday.

Texas won a series at Dodger Stadium for the first time since 1999.

For the second night in a row, reliever David Robertson struck out Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in succession to preserve the 3-1 lead in the eighth inning.

The Rangers took two of three games against the leaders of the National League West Division, after being beaten 15-2 in the first game, in which the Dodgers hit five home runs, including four in one inning.

This time, the Rangers’ pitching nullified the Los Angeles attack.

Lorenzen (4-3) allowed one run and four hits. He struck out two and walked one.

The defeat was for Michael Grove (4-3).

For the Rangers, Cuban Adolis García was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. The Dominicans Ezequiel Durán 4-0, Leody Taveras 4-0.

For the Dodgers, Dominican Teoscar Hernández 3-0. Cuban Andy Pagés went 4-2 with one run scored and one RBI.
