BALTIMORE — Cedric Mullins hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the seventh inning, and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-2 on Wednesday to snap a five-game losing streak.

Gunnar Henderson hit his 26th home run and Ryan O’Hearn also hit the ball for Baltimore, which had not won since June 20, when it beat the New York Yankees 17-5.

It was the Orioles’ longest losing streak since May 2022.

For their part, the Guardians saw their streak of seven victories ended.

Mullins homered off Xzavion Curry (0-2) to give Baltimore the lead for the first time. The club lifted the ball past the foul pole and sent it onto Eutaw Street, beyond the right field scoreboard.

O’Hearn made it 4-2 with a solo homer off Curry in the eighth inning.

Grayson Rodríguez (9-3) allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings. He struck out his last four opponents. Craig Kimbrel made his 17th save in 21 chances.

For the Guardians, the Venezuelans Andrés Giménez 3-0, Gabriel Arias 3-2 with one run scored and one RBI, Brayan Rocchio 3-0. Dominican José Ramírez 4-0.

For the Orioles, Venezuelan Anthony Santander 0-4. Dominican Jorge Mateo went 3-2 with one run scored.
