watchOS 11: What are the new functions that Apple Watch releases

You can access the Training Load in the Vital Signs section of the app Activity on your watch or in the Fitness app on your iPhone. It’s also worth noting that Training Load is not an original concept invented by Apple; Watches like those from Garmin and Coros already offer a similar score to tell you if your performance is improving or declining.

Greater customization of Activity Circles

Apple Activity Circles, which Apple Watch users complete throughout each day by staying physically active, are one of the features of fitness most popular and easy to use watch. Not closing those circles daily can be a source of anxiety for many, and most Apple Watch users are dedicated to finishing them before bed, forever and ever, in order to maintain their good physical condition. (You can hit an open circle and set your goals lower to cover the goal, but that’s cheating.) New to watchOS 11, it’s possible to pause your activity tracking to take a day, week, or month off, without affecting your streaks. But just so you know, this is a feature that is already on other monitors, like the Oura ring.

The app Fitness+ has also been redesigned to be easier to individualize and allows you to analyze some of the new fitness metrics on your iPhone. That includes a custom space in For You, Explore and Library spaces, and new and improved rewards. There are also more workouts that use GPS, such as soccer, American football, and snowboard. Now you can have tailor-made sessions for swimming in the pool.

If you play or practice an outdoor sport, such as hiking or running, maybe your family and friends have gotten nervous every time you went out alone, especially at night. Now you can ease your worries with Report (Check In), a new feature that debuted in iOS 17 and that not only informs your loved ones when you arrive somewhere, but also sends you security alerts if you don’t. You can send a report directly to the app Apple Watch Training or through the Messages app on your watch, the same way you would on your phone.

Last year in watchOS 10, Apple introduced a feature called Smart Battery (SmartStack). Instead of trying to scroll through tiny apps to find the one you want, you could move between widgets larger on your watch face inside a Smart Battery. It is the “smart” part that made it most useful: The widget The most important thing was automatically brought to the foreground, depending on the time or your location. Now the Smart Battery adds even more widgetslike Shazam and Photos, which alternate randomly.
