At the time we analyzed the Samsung Galaxy A53 and found that it was a strong candidate for the throne of the mid-range from last year. The phone was based on a formula that worked, so there was no need to change it. That already served to make it among the best mid-range that could be bought last year.

Now, as they tell us from SAMMobile, the Korean manufacturer is releasing June 2024 security update for these devices in some Asian countries and in most European territories, although Spain is not mentioned at the moment. We will tell you about it below.

The Galaxy A53 receives a new security update: all the information

The new software, according to the media, comes with the firmware code A536BXXSAEXF1 in Europe. The countries that have already received it so far are Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Czechia and the United Kingdom. For now, Spain is not mentioned as we said before, although yesterday the Galaxy S22 Ultra received the patch and, therefore, we will not have to wait long.

As far as Asia is concerned, the firmware code is A536EXXSAEXF1 in these regions. At the moment it reaches Kazakhstan, Singapore and the Caucasus. According to the information available so far, the June security update fixes 59 security holes that were discovered in previous versions.

If you have a Galaxy A53 you can manually check if you have already received the patch from the route Settings > Software Update > Download and install. If you download the software manually (which we only recommend if you know how to do it and if you have more advanced knowledge of Android), you will need a computer with Windows and the Odin tool.

For the rest, it is worth remembering that this update does not bring any performance improvementsince it is a patch purely focused on security.
