Today, Motorola has introduced the Moto S50 Neo, Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. While the Moto S50 Neo remains a Chinese exclusive in any form, the company has now launched the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra globally. As far as we know, both have already arrived in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, among other markets.

As the graphic below shows, there are plenty of similarities between the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, including their designs. However, Motorola has cut some corners with the former to keep its launch price down just as it did with the Razr 2023 (currently $449.99 at Amazon), including opting for a weaker chipset and less capable secondary camera, as well as a smaller cover display. In short, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra rival the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Flip6, and Samsung is expected to launch the latter early next month. As expected, Motorola has given the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra different names for their North American releases. Specifically, the pair has arrived as Razr 2024 and Razr 2024+ or Razr 2024 Plus, respectively. For reference, the pair is available at the following prices and memory configurations outside of China with a complimentary pair of Moto Buds Earphones in some markets:

Razr 50/Razr 2024

  • 8GB RAM/256GB storage – $699.99/£799.99/€899.99

Razr 50 Ultra/Razr 2024+

  • 12 GB RAM/512 GB storage – $999.99/£999.99/€1,199.99
