Early this Monday, April 22, the national rock band Sam Sam experienced a serious accident on the Mexico-Querétaro highway. The incident occurred a few hours after his participation in the Rock Fest 2024, an event held in Querétaro that also had the presence of important exponents of Mexican rock such as Tex Tex, Tuzos and Heavy Nopal.
The accident was reported through a statement on the band’s official Facebook account, where the suspension of upcoming performances was announced due to the serious injuries suffered by some of its members.
Among those most affected are the group’s bassist, known as Mountain, and Giovanni, who requires an emergency operation at a cost of 80 thousand pesos, not covered by vehicle insurance. The images shared show the group’s truck seriously damaged in both its front and rear.
The band called on its followers to raise funds to help cover medical expenses, through donations to their bank account. Likewise, they indicated that the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident fled.
The news has shocked the national rock community, generating a wave of messages of support for the band members from fans and colleagues, such as the band Next who wrote: “Everything will be fine friends SAM SAM All our best vibes for everything” The band Liranroll He also expressed his support with a message wishing a speedy recovery.
Although there has been no detailed official statement from the group regarding the physical conditions in which its members are found after the accident, a call has been made for the solidarity of the fans. Through a publication, the group requested financial support to face the adversities resulting from the incident, providing banking information for those who wish to contribute to the cause.

The accident occurred during the early hours of last Monday, when the van in which the Sam Sam band was traveling was hit by a cargo vehicle at kilometer 47+000 of the Mexico-Querétaro highway. The crash left the unit severely damaged on its right side, resulting in serious injuries to three of its members, including Tony Montana.
