FAIRFAX, Va. – Freshman Gwenno Goode he has impressed for the La Salle Track & Field team all season, and his incredible run continued at the Atlantic-10 Outdoor Championships on the campus of George Mason. The native of Wales claimed gold in the 3k Steeplechase with a time of 10:19.48 to win the first track medal of the day. Five Explorers advanced to the finals in their respective events.

RESULTS

  • Nick Moulai (3:56.09) and James Ptack (3:58.80) advanced out of the prelims in the 1500m run.
  • Freshman Soleil Morrison came within .07 seconds of the program 400m record she set at the Atlantic-10 Indoor Championships with a time of 56.22 to qualify for the 400m finals.
  • Christine Mancini clocked a time of 2:11.22 to qualify for the 800m finals. She is looking to defend her title, having won gold in the event at last year’s outdoor championships.
  • On the men’s side of the 800m, Liam Rivard placed fourth overall and ran 1:52.99 to qualify for the finals.
  • Arthur Cosson earned eight points in the 10000m run where he finished in seventh place.
