Gary Neville has little faith in Tottenham being able to do Arsenal in favor of their bid to win the Premier League title. The Gunners once more set the pace for on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth but there was no slowing down from the champions.

They recorded a comfortable victory too, putting five past a hapless Wolves thanks to four goals from Erling Haaland. The gap at the top therefore remains just one point with Mikel Arteta’s side leading the way, but Pep Guardiola’s men have the all-important game in hand.

With just two weeks left to go in the season it is still just the finest of margins separating master and apprentice once more. The attention therefore once again turns to the remaining few matches.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United next week in a huge game. ’s men are still trying to hold onto their spot in the top six, as well as eyeing up an unlikely chance of sneaking into fifth. There is still plenty to play for there, and United love nothing more than getting one of their rivals.

Manchester City face Fulham before then taking on Tottenham in the game in hand. After Spurs found themselves 4-0 down away to Liverpool on Sunday on their way to a fourth league defeat in a row, conceding 13 goals in the process, Neville isn’t confident of Ange Postecoglou’s side causing City much trouble.

“Arsenal have got a job to do at Old Trafford next weekend and City have got a job to do at Fulham,” he said on commentary after goals from , Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliot had put the Reds into a dominant lead. “But I think Arsenal fans, coaches and players, if you were looking at this Tottenham team and thinking can they somehow raise their game for that game a week on Tuesday, it is looking doubtful as you see them now in front of you.”

Tottenham did show some signs of mounting a shock comeback after Richarlison and Son Heung-Min found the net in quick succession. It wasn’t enough to make up for a terrible first 45 though.

It leaves Tottenham just four points ahead of in sixth and on freefall. Manchester United could close that gap down to three points with a win over Crystal Palace on Monday.
