Carlos Ocaá Orbis will be appointed director of Telefónica representing the Government, replacing the independent director Carmen García de Andrés. Ocaa Orbis is currently a director of Real Madrid, which he joined in 2012. Previously he was general director of the cabinet of the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Miguel Sebastin and is co-author, along with president Pedro Sánchez, of the book The new Spanish economic diplomacy, which includes a good part of the thesis of the current President of the Government. The Government thus appoints to the Telefónica board a person of the highest confidence of the President of the Executive. Today, Sepi has announced that it has exceeded 7% of the operator’s capital.
Telephone predictably appoint tomorrow Carlos Ocaa as a member of the board of directors representing the Government. Everything indicates that the appointment will be imminent and that it will be carried out by co-option in tomorrow’s council. To open
