The companies participating in the seventh edition of the Costa del Sol Tourism Hub business acceleration program have been able to present their projects to a notable number of investors during the Investor Day celebration. This forum was developed in collaboration with the Málaga Business Angels Network, the network of private investors coordinated by Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol to promote tourism investment.
At the event, participating companies showed their innovative solutions to investors interested in participating in the capital of said projects. The development of the forum had the collaboration of Uppery Club and the Confederation of Businessmen of Southern Spain (CESUR). The meeting has been an opportunity for startups to connect with members of the Málaga Business Angels Network, as well as investors associated with venture capital funds or impact investment funds, such as Fundalogy.
Ten innovative ideas
Ok Located, Biotonomy, Hotelbreak, Cicerone by iUrban, Roots N’Joy, Swap Your Travel, Turiscool, Bracelet, TECO Mobility and Novelingo Explore are the ten startups that have presented their ideas at the Investor Day forum. All initiatives are part of the Costa del Sol Tourism Hub tourism acceleration program. The companies participating in what is its seventh edition cover a wide range of areas of technology and innovation.
OK Located stands out as a mobile and technological platform that provides informative interactivity to citizens and tourists through Bluetooth digital signage. This startup offers a range of easy-to-use solutions, covering many of the daily needs of any type of local or tourist user.
Biotonomy, for its part, specializes in nature-based solutions for building development, focusing on hydroponic vertical gardens and other elements that help renaturalize hotel facilities and preserve water resources.
Hotelbreak offers a marketplace that allows hotels to promote experiences in periods of low demand, thus optimizing the use of their infrastructure and spaces such as the restaurant, cafeteria or spa, for example.
iUrban is a technology-based company from Malaga that offers solutions based on artificial intelligence for multilingual tourist information and assistance, or route planning through chatbots, among other services.
Roots N’Joy makes available to tourism experience providers a platform that allows them to manage and improve the organization and sale of micro gastronomic and healthy leisure events.
Swap Your Travel offers a digital marketplace for the purchase and sale of trips, promoting the collaborative economy and reducing the impact of unused tickets.
Turiscool provides specialized online training for companies in the HORECA sector, with materials prepared by specialists with extensive experience and prestige in the industry. In this way Turiscool offers valuable help to hotels and restaurants to grow by developing and enhancing the talent of their employees.
Bracelit provides services to event organizers and tourism managers through wearable devices with RFID technology or QR codes, facilitating access control and management, secure payment or personalized ticketing, among other services.
