After the success of the first edition, the Puerto del Rosario City Council, through the departments of Social Services and Historical Heritage, organized this fun activity for all citizens enjoying a different afternoon in the municipality. The meaning of “escape room” is “escape room or room” and consists of leaving the room or area where you are through brain games, riddles and enigmas that you must solve until you find the code that allows you to go to the next room. next phase. It is a team building activity where people of all ages can participate, which makes it more attractive.
The event took place on the afternoon of last Friday, June 7, in various areas of the capital of Majorca. Participants had to enter and leave various rooms, squares and other areas, with the prior information they had, adding the data they obtained through QR codes or various information they found in different objects. Even the sculpture of D. Miguel de Unamuno or the sculpture of “Overseas Luggage” on the maritime avenue, among others, participated in the game.
The mayor of the capital, David de Vera, stated that “this activity not only encourages teamwork and fun, but also promotes relationships between the community, the interaction of neighbors of all ages, knowledge and the importance of our historical heritage, along with the activation of commerce.”
The Councilor for Historical Heritage, David de León, declared that “it is a unique opportunity for participants to discover our heritage, history, cultural wealth, legacy and historical figures of Puerto del Rosario in an entertaining and educational way.”
