“It has been difficult to hold back the tears. I have been wearing this shirt for many years. It has been the best sporting decision to join this club and the work of all these years has been reflected in today (…) Always I have tried to carry the shield and the club ahead,” says the Real Madrid player who feels very lucky to have shared a dressing room with so many stars. When asked about the people who come to mind on such a special day, he is clear: “I feel privileged to have shared a team with all my teammates.
