(IPO TdF) – The Federal Chamber of Comodoro Rivadavia validated an interim precautionary measure in which it agrees with the presentation of the government of Tierra del Fuego who had presented an amparo to avoid cutting off the gas supply during the winter season for those who cannot carry out the payment of the service.
In the measure, the judges highlighted that this service “is primarily humanitarian in nature in pursuit of the protection of the population.”
The decision was adopted this Thursday when the increase in the gas rate for the province of Tierra del Fuego was suspended and in this way a ruling by the federal judge of Río Grande Mariel Borruto was ratified that suspended the effects of the increase in service until the underlying issue is analyzed.
The initial proposal was made by Governor Gustavo Melella who demonstrated against the increases in the gas rate and now the court has validated the request to avoid cuts during the winter season. (OPI Agency Tierra del Fuego)
