At least four people died after the explosion of a residential building in the Belgian city of Hoboken.

Local media reported that emergency services are looking for a possible fifth victim in the rubble of the building.

After locating three bodies the day before, in the early hours of Friday, the rescuers found a fourth and continue the work to search for a neighbor who has not given news since the event.

The explosion that occurred on Thursday destroyed the upper part of the building and since then firefighters have been working through the rubble to search for possible victims.

In addition to the deceased, at least three were seriously injured and three others slightly injured as a result of the explosion, the causes of which are still being investigated by the authorities, who consider that it was due to a gas leak, among other hypotheses.
