Universidad Siglo 21, in alliance with Buenas Noches Producciones, held a new edition of Open Day, an event designed to promote young talents in the field of electronic music. This year, the DJ and producer Hernán Cattáneo, a prominent figure in progressive house internationally, was the protagonist of the day, marking the beginning of a weekend dedicated to music in Córdoba.

Cattáneo made Córdoba one of his favorite destinations and consolidated his dates in Forja as iconic events that generate great expectations among his followers.

From 2022, your musical weekend begins with the Open Day at the Siglo 21 University, a platform that seeks to highlight new talents.

This year’s edition, organized by Buenas Noches Producciones, focused on supporting emerging artists from the local electronic scene.

The day included an inspiring talk with Eial Moldavsky, a music production clinic given by Jamie Stevens, and the presentation of the BNP Awards. This award recognizes innovation and entrepreneurship in musical and artistic proposals, presented through a hackathon.

The winners were selected by Cattáneo and a jury made up of members of Buenas Noches Producciones and teachers from Universidad Siglo 21, and will have the opportunity to present their projects during the Hernán Cattáneo Weekend.

There was a music production clinic taught by Jamie Stevens, and the BNP Awards were presented.

“We have all been helped at some point, we all had a guide that helped us cement our path. That is why emerging talents need visibility. With so many DJs, producers and professionals, the best ones need someone to mark them out among so many others. Giving visibility and pushing their path is as important as it was for us when we received that impulse,” said Hernán Cattáneo and underlined the importance of supporting the new generations.

The hackathon allowed students and young creatives to develop innovative projects, highlighting the importance of creativity and entrepreneurship to face future challenges.

Thus, Universidad Siglo 21, through initiatives such as Open Day, promotes a positive education model that encourages the comprehensive development of its students, combining academic skills with human competencies.

Carlos Ramonda, Dean of Applied Sciences at Universidad Siglo 21, expressed his pride in welcoming Hernán Cattáneo back.

“This experience is unique for our students and for all emerging talents, offering them a space where they can express their creativity and learn from a great reference in the electronic music scene such as Hernán. Furthermore, this initiative reinforces the comprehensive development of our academic community, providing tools and opportunities that prepare them to face the challenges of the future,” said Ramonda.

The Open Day at Universidad Siglo 21 not only marked the beginning of a special weekend, but also established a platform for young talents to stand out and evolve in the world of electronic music.

The event will continue with two consecutive nights of Hernán Cattáneo in Córdoba, offering attendees an immersive and avant-garde musical experience.
